Cellex C Skin Care Product

The innovative use of vitamin C in the CellexC skin care line formed the foundation of the growth and success of the products and the company that created them.

In the late 1980's two biologists, Dr. Lorraine Meisner and Dr. Michael Shinitsky set out to develop a product to treat skin damaged by chemicals and the sun. They knew vitamin C to be a powerful antioxidant and essential for optimal health and so they began to experiment with it as a topical application for the skin. The results were astounding.

Dr. Meisner and Dr. Shinitsky discovered that Vitamin C applied topically had the ability to stimulate collagen production and repair skin damage. Dr. Meisner created the first ever topical skin cream using vitamin C and used it on her own skin to prove the results. People were concerned that the skin would not react positively to it but the opposite was true.

Using a natural sugar derivative DHA that reacts with the amino acids in the skin they were able to create a product that makes skin look naturally healthy and tan. It includes Melanin and walnut extract rather than the usual orange tint.
